Notice of Public Hearing 11/15/21 - Increase and Improvement of the WD No. 8 at 7 PM (1465 Orange Tpke., Monroe, NY))

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Monroe, in the County of Orange, State of New York, will meet at the Town Hall, 1465 Orange Turnpike, Monroe, New York, on November 15, 2021, at 7:00 o’clock P.M. (Prevailing Time), for the purpose of conducting a public hearing in relation to the increase and improvement of facilities of the Water District No. 8, consisting of a various water system improvements and ancillary or related work required in connection therewith, at the estimated maximum cost of $2,700,000.

All or part of the cost of the project may be financed through Town bonds, the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation (EFC) State Revolving Fund (SRF) and/or a Water Infrastructure Improvement Act (WIIA) grant, and any such grant funds received are authorized to be used to pay a part of the cost of such project, or to pay debt service related thereto.

At said public hearing, the Town Board will hear all persons interested in said subject matter thereof.

Public Hearing Notice - 10/26/21 @ 730pm via ZOOM: Application of Kingsville Synagogue to Receive an Area Variance From the Schedule of District Regulations Table for RR-1 Acre Zoning District Without Central Sewers, to Permit a Third Story Where

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, pursuant to §§ 57-63.G and 57-65 of the Code of the Town of Monroe and §§ 267-a of the NYS Town Law, that the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Monroe, New York, will hold a Public Hearing on the 26th day of October, 2021 at 7:30 PM, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard that day on the application of Kingsville Synagogue to receive an area variance from the Schedule of District Regulations table for RR-1 acre zoning district without central sewers, to permit a third story where maximum building height is only 2 ½ stories. The lands affected by this application are located at 10 Kingsville Drive in the Town of Monroe and shown generally on the tax maps of the Town of Monroe as Sec. 1, Block 1, Lot 4.32. A copy of the application is available for public inspection at the office of the Zoning Board during regular business hours. The meeting is open to the public. The Public Hearing shall be conducted via video/tele-conference and so there will be no physical meeting location in order to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the Monroe residents.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Monroe will hold a Public Hearing on October 26, 2021 commencing at 7:30 PM to consider the application of Harley Matsil for four (4) area variances from the requirements of §57-5 Compliance with bulk regulations required for nonconforming structures. Variance one (1) lot area required 15,000 s/f existing 9,672 s/f encroachment 5,328 s/f, variance two (2) lot width required 85’ existing 75’ nonconforming lot encroachment 10’, variance three (3) side yard required 15’ one/40’ total existing setbacks are 13.5’ both sides of house total side yard is 27’, encroachment of 1.5’ for one and 13’ for total, and variance four (4) lot coverage permitted maximum 25% proposed is 31% with encroachment of 6%. The Town of Monroe Zoning Board of Appeals is pleased to announce the return of in-person Zoning Board of Appeals Meetings at Town Hall, 1465 Orange Turnpike, Monroe, New York.

Given the current times, please note the following procedures that must be adhered to should you choose to attend a meeting:

-  Following Governor Cuomo’s adoption of the CDC guidelines lifting the mask mandate for vaccinated individuals, masks will no longer be required at town meetings for individuals who are fully vaccinated (*you are considered fully vaccinated 14 days after your 2nd dose of the vaccine). Individuals who are immunocompromised or are unvaccinated should continue to wear masks and socially distance.

- Please be advised that all employees, board members and visitors will continue to partake in a temperature screening upon arrival to all town buildings until further notice. 

- All meeting attendees must enter the upper level main entrance where a contactless temperature check will be conducted. To assist in contact tracing efforts, meeting attendees will be asked to provide their name and contact information. All temperatures under 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit will be recorded as a pass on a log-sheet. When a body temperature above 100.4 is detected, the actual temperature reading will be recorded and traced, and it will be noted as “fail” on the log-sheet. Any individual with an elevated body temperature of 100.4 will be asked to return home immediately and contact their physician.

- Lastly, please continue to be respectful of others by remaining at home should you feel ill or exhibit any symptoms of COVID-19.
