Walton Lake

Walton Lake is a mile-long reservoir accessible from Lakes Road.  A great place for fishing, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) stocks the lake annually with Brown Trout.  In addition to fishing, boating is popular as well.  A NYS DEC parking and boat launch area is located directly across from American Legion Post #488.  Canoes, kayaks, and any other non-motor boats are permitted on the lake.  Because Walton Lake is a reservoir, gasoline powered boats are not allowed.  Additional access points to the lake are reserved for residents with deeded lake rights.
