NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Monroe will hold a Public Hearing on May 26, 2020, commencing at 7:30 PM to consider a use variance for Verizon which seeks the following avenues of relief: (1) Installation of Utility Tower/Public Utility structure within the LI District which is not a permitted use Town Code 57-13S (4).. The lands affected by this application are located at 40 ½ Barr Lane in the Town of Monroe and shown generally on the tax maps as Section 2, Block 1, Lot 36. The Public Hearing shall be conducted via video/tele-conference and so there will be no physical meeting location in order to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the Monroe residents.

The Meeting is being held in accordance with the New York State Public Officers Law and Executive Order 202.1 (“EO 202.1”) issued on March 12, 2020 and Executive Order 202.15 issued on April 9, 2020, by New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo, which suspended Article 7 of the Public Officers Law, to the extent necessary to permit any public body to meet and take such actions authorized by the law without permitting in public in-person access to meetings and authorizing such meetings and public hearings to be held remotely by conference call, video conference or similar service.
